An experienced Systems Administrator is needed to provide second level helpdesk support for a 180-user environment of Linux, Windows, and Mac workstations. Proven experience in the areas Linux and UNIX administration, working knowledge of router and firewall configuration, and hands-on ability to supervise and lead junior desktop personnel are needed. The position requires a BS or equivalent degree with 5+ years of working experience in the IT support industry.
The job requires supervision of junior IT personnel in their daily duties, providing second level helpdesk support for computer and network problems, administration of a helpdesk queue to ensure that help request tickets are addressed and resolved in a timely manner, and work with the custumer's network support staff. Additional duties are maintaining a data base of computer configurations and software, managing software images of standard computer configurations, upgrading computers and software, installation of security patches, and ensuring the health and safety of the computers and network.
Additional support for the Deltek GCS Premier and Time Collection accounting systems will be performed. Management of the Deltek accounting systems requires the administration of an MS SQL server and the ability to write and modify SQL scripts.
